He sells, tells, and BELIEVES, big time in what he has experienced since 1973. If for no other reason read this title (and I suspect it is true of his other titles too) and you will find Tony's sweet spot. Decide to be a slave to his advice and win a great new job. With my 20 plus years in career training Tony makes me look like a neophyte, specifically because of his recruiting expertise and his interviewing advice. I like to think of Tony as the "Cable Guy" of job search advice. Did I mention he has been at this since 1973? Your main challenge will be the length, nearly 300 pages. Whew! I've been unemployed now for about 8 months. The book is helpful if you can muster the personality to pursue a job hunt as boldly and eagerly as the author suggests. Unfortunately, I have not been able to stretch my level of confidence far enough, and each unanswered application lowers my energy for the task. There are some good ideas in here and the overall tone is positive but challenging. It'll help keep you in the game. I’ve never written a review, but I had to about this book. His advice changed my views on the job search, increased my confidence, and changed my career path. Buy this book, do what he says (especially the interview sections), and your search will end with you getting the offer you’ve always known you deserve but thought you would never get. My friend is raving about this book. Quick read and can quickly reference a chapter you need to read. I bought this for my daughter, who like many others is challenged by the tough job market now. She said it has some good pointers, but, she'd rather that I would have sent her a novel. It's a straightforward read with a methodical approach. Tony provides many useful insights into the differences between generations and teaches you how to connect with each of them. This book gives a great overview of many aspects of job searching and helps to equip you with some great tools and truths that make it easier. Run, don't walk to your bookshelf and remove all other job search books. The Job Search Solution is the ONLY one you need. It's the most accurate, "real world" account of perspectives from both sides--hiring authorities and job hunters. Tony's insights are spot on for today's employment climate.
